About the Artist //

Laura Jane Martin has been seriously creating art since high school. She obtained a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Art Education, with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing, in December of 2012. She has since taught both high school and elementary level art in public education, as well as offered the occasional tutoring services. She continues to develop her career and passion in the creation and education of fine art, including the goal of obtaining an M.F.A. and becoming a professor of art. Her medium goes beyond a paintbrush, however; she also has experience making ceramics, digital design, illustration, and typography. She has lived abroad studying art, and has shown her work throughout the Middle Tennessee area.

In her spare time, Laura involves herself with animal care-taking, and exploring the fun world of baking sweets. She also enjoys nature and the outdoors, which heavily inspires her artwork.
